Last August (I can’t believe its been that long) our family acquired a new member. We are now foster parents for a beautiful 5 year old girl. She was taken from her mother for severe neglect and placed with our family.
Its been 8 months and little Alaxis has become a part of our family. We love her very much and we are really hoping we can adopt her some day. The birth mother and father (never married, separated) are both trying to get custody of her. They both have a lot of work to do — its been 8 months and they still haven’t pulled it together enough for the State to grant reunification. Fortunately, under New Hampshire law, parents have one year, from the time of the court decision to remove the child, to achieve reunification. If they are unable to do it within that time, the court will rule to terminate parental rights. After that time, we will be able to adopt Alaxis.
In other news, we went to Florida in late February. We took Alaxis along with us, of course, and we went to Universal studios, Disneyworld, and Sea World. It was me, Original Cindy, Amber, Aaron, Alaxis, and Cindy’s mother, Carol. We stayed in a beautiful Villa, which was a 2 bathroom, 3 bedroom, 2-story condo, with a kitchen and a private mini-pool in the back. We had an excellent time, and it was a well-needed break.

Wow! Nice to see you back and typing. I can see that between your job and your new child you have had a lot on your plate. Glad to see that there are many positive things happening in your life.
