During the past couple of weeks, i’ve been planning a Carribian cruise for the family for February 2007. As I start to solidify and finalize our plans, I start seeing an alarming number of these news reports:
One Dead in Carribian Cruise Ship Fire
Tour bus plummets into canyon, kills 12
Salem Student Stabbed during spring break in Bahamas
Now i’m not the panicky type, but I sure hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

I’ve taken literally like a dozen cruises, and I’ve made it back safely every time. Don’t worry, you’ll eat too much, get sunburned, and come back poor, but happy.

Power of suggestion… Yep, it’s funny how these things can play on our psyche. I think you are just noticing the stories cuz you’re going… But really the percentage of instances is likely very very low and the odds of something like this actually happening to your family are slim. I’d probably be thinking like you too though… My mind does that kinda stuff to me sometimes.
