Last night, Original Cindy and I went to our first class to become licenced Foster Care providers. Since our journey to have a child of our own together (Our kids had a different bio-dad) ended in doubt and disappointment, we decided a while back to become foster parents.
The way New Hampshire is now set up, the Foster Care system is integrated into the Adoption system. Therefore, if you are a licensed Foster Care provider, you are also a licenced Potential Adoptive Parent. Our hope is to provide a temporary home to those kids that need it, and if the opportunity arises, to give a child a permanent home, we will have the opportunity to adopt.
The Foster Care classes run Monday and Tuesday every week until February 12th.
