Psych Report

lucy van pelt

About a week ago, I had a psychiatric evaluation for some stuff. I just got a copy of my psych report. It opens:

Mr. [TJ] calls 35 minutes prior to his appointment to get the office address and directions. On arriving at the office he cannot find his insurance card, calls home to get the information, then finds the card. . .

You know something? Bite me! Okay? This is supposed to be a psych evaluation, not a “lets see what a disorganized loser the patient is” evaluation.

Yeah, but I bet that was just the tip of the iceberg…

To me that statement says three things:

    1. Mr. [TJ] exhibits at least some of the behaviors characteristic of a person who has ADD/ADHD.

    2. Mr. [TJ] has more important and/or more interesting things to be thinking about than such trivial matters as bits of paper with numbers on them.

    3. The shrink consulted by Mr. [TJ] does not have more important and/or more interesting things to be thinking about than such trivial matters as bits of paper with numbers on them.

Don’t let the bastards get you down!

Helen: This was my first appointment. It couldn’t have bugged him that much

MC: is it? I do try.

Mr. Fab: Actually, the rest of it was somewhat flattering.

JD: I never let anyone get me down. I thought it was more amusing than insulting, but bloggers are expected to bitch, and have their “F*ck Off and Vomit Satudays” and all that. I try to do my part.
