Site Re-design

(Is that supposed to be hyphenated?)

Third post of the day. I’m going for a record.

I redesigned my layout a bit to remove as much garbage as possible from my sidebar. The emphasis is on content, not sidebar.

So why have I done this?

According to studies (of which I have read none), most blog surfers only hit a blog for about 15 seconds or so. If this time is spent trying to wade through a bunch of distracting “stuff”, they won’t spend any time reading content.

Therefore, I eliminate the “stuff” and provide the content. And of course, if anyone is interested in that other stuff, then its still here, its just tucked away a bit.

So there you have it. Any comments?

It has nothing to do with the bitches, right TJ? :D

It looks great!! Love the whittled down sidebar that allows for more content appreciation

Thanks! It had very little to do with the bitches. After all, their criticism is far from constructive. I prefer the simpler look is all.

I like it too! I need to do something similar. My sidebar has grown out of control. It’s just so easy to tack stuff onto the end…. Thanks for the inspiration!

The simpler, the better! My mind has become a pinball game; I refuse to have my eyeballs similarly toyed with, and thus, I click right out of too-busy sites!
