Aaron off to Vegas

Tonight Aaron will be leaving for Las Vegas to spend the holidays with his bio-dad. Yesterday he started packing:

Aaron: Yes! All my Rock Band stuff fit in the suitcase. The guitar, the drum set, the microphone. . .

Me: Were you able to fit any clothes in there?

Aaron: Oh yeah. . I’m going to pack those next.

Live from Nottingham

This is my first day of work in Nottingham. My traveling companion and I spent a lovely weekend in Edinburgh (pronounced “Ed-in-burro” for you provincial folk). We visited Edinburgh Castle, and banged around downtown. The city is smaller than I imagined, and almost everything is on two main stretches of road: Princes Street and the Royal Mile.

Not much time since the meeting is starting. I’ll leave with a picture of Edinburgh Castle.

London, Edinburgh, Nottingham

I’m traveling to England this week for work, starting on Saturday, May 5. Although I haven’t been keeping up on this blog much, this is a good opportunity to make this a bit of a “travel blog” while I am away.

I am traveling for work, but I’ll only actually be working on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday since Monday is a bank holiday. So, my traveling companion and I have decided to make a detour to Edinburgh on Sunday/Monday to do some sightseeing.

I’ll be posting pictures as we go along. It should be fun!

Over too soon

Like all fun things, my vacation was over too soon, but the wife and I had a great time.

We headed out Wednesday morning, and arrived in Lake George after a 2 and a half hour trip. We went to the Great Escape amusement park on Thursday. The rest of the time we spent swimming at the campground pool, shopping in downtown Lake George (the town, not the actual lake), or hanging around the camp.

It was very fine and relaxing, and I feel almost rejuvenated. Alas, it was over too quickly, and now its back to work this morning.
